Who We Are

PostBank Uganda (PBU) is purposed to foster prosperity for Ugandans. Since its establishment, it has extended tailored financial services to enable them to Grow and Prosper by facilitating their participation in social and economic activities that improve their livelihoods.
The bank is a limited liability company incorporated under the Companies Act in 1998 and is owned by the Government of Uganda with 100% shareholding. PostBank Uganda, a fully-fledged commercial bank, boasts a nationwide network of 58 branches and over 3,000 Agents. These are complemented by PostMobile - *263#, PostApp, PostOnline and smart ATMs
The bank acquired its Tier 1 commercial banking license in December 2021 and is regulated by the Bank of Uganda, the country’s central Bank. Before acquiring its commercial banking license, the bank was classified as a non-bank credit institution.
We remain dedicated to bolstering financial inclusion to expand accessibility to financial services for individuals and businesses in Uganda. Our objective is to cater to the varied needs and expansion goals of the Ugandan community.
Our focus within the economic impact pillar includes fostering job creation, promoting the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), driving financial inclusion, and advancing infrastructure development.
