Limited Liability Companies

  1. A valid National Identification Card for each of the directors, shareholders (holding more than 5% of the company shares), senior management and other persons authorized to transact, control, or manage the company.
  2. Certified copy of the certificate of incorporation.
  3. Certified copy of the Memorandum and Articles of Association.
  4. Certified copy of company forms 20 – Details of directors and the secretary.
  5. Certified copy of company forms 18 – Business address.
  6. A written application to open an account with Post Bank.
  7. Certified copy of the registered board resolution to open an account with Postbank Uganda, indicating account operating mandate/instructions.
  8. Copy of the business trading license for the current or previous financial year.
  9. Copy of Tax Identification Number (TIN) Certificate.
  10. Latest utility bill (Electricity, water, telephone bills etc.).

Note: If bill is in the names of the landlord, a copy of the tenancy agreement or latest receipt of rent payments be provided.

Partnerships

  1. A valid National Identification Card for each of the partners.
  2. A written application or resolution by the partners to open an account with Post Bank.
  3. Certified copy of the certificate of registration of the business name.
  4. Certified copy of the registered partnership deed
  5. Copy of the business trading license for the current or previous financial year.
  6. Copy of Tax Identification Number (TIN) Certificate.
  7. Latest utility bill (Electricity, water, telephone bills etc.)

Note: If bill is in the names of the landlord, a copy of the tenancy agreement or latest receipt of rent payments be provided.

Sole Proprietorship

  1. A valid National Identification Card for the proprietor.
  2. Certified copy of the statement of particulars.
  3. Copy of the business trading license for the current or previous financial year.

  5. Latest utility bill (Electricity, water, telephone bills etc.

Non-Governmental Organisations

  1. A valid National Identification Card for each of the directors and authorized signatories.
  2. A written application from the NGO to open an account with Post Bank.
  3. Certified copy of the NGO certificate of registration from the NGO Board/ Ministry of Internal affairs.
  4. Certified copy of the Organization’s constitution or the rules and regulations/charter or by-laws certified by the NGO board.
  5. Certified resolution to open an account with Post Bank clearly indicating the operating mandate.
  6. Latest utility bill (Electricity, water, telephone bills etc.

Community Based Organisations (CBO’s)

  1. A valid National Identification Card of each of the authorized signatories.
  2. A written application from the entity’s chairperson or Secretary to open an account.
  3. Copy of the registration certificate.
  4. Copy of the by-laws or constitution registered and certified by the registrar of the entity.
  5. A certified copy of the resolution to open an account with Post Bank.
  6. An introduction letter from the local authorities where the entity is based.
  7. Completed account opening form.
