Requirements
A valid national identification Number (NIN) as issued by the National Identification Registration Authority (Uganda).
Note
A copy of the document (whether National ID or any record issued by NIRA-U) possessing the NIN must be maintained by the Bank as part of the customer’s account KYC records.
Where the person is a student, for purposes of qualifying for a student account, one must accompany the NIN with any of; a valid copy of his/her institutional ID or an introduction letter from the school/institution or a copy of his/her admission letter.
For each person, obtain a copy of his/her most recent colored passport size photograph. This may be delivered by the client or taken using Bank cameras.
For any Ugandan who intends to use his/her account while in the diaspora, he/she MUST sign an email/telephone indemnity form with the Bank.
In the event that a customer is blind.
He/she must personally introduce a next of kin to the Bank for the case of personal accounts.
A copy of the original and valid identification documents of the next of kin as prescribed in above – Natural Persons, shall be obtained.
Introduction of the next of kin as an agent on the account shall be done following the appropriate procedure.
